Mía Maestro

  Mia Maestro, an Argentine singer/actress, was born on 19 June 1978. She is well-known for her roles as Nora Martinez in The Strain, Nadia Santos in the television drama Alias and Christina Kahlo on Frida, as Carmen in The Twilight Saga, and as Marianela in For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story.


 Early life and career



 Maestro was conceived in Buenos Aires on the 19th of June 1978. She made her debut on screen in the film of Carlos Saura Tango which earned Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Film. Maestro was born in Argentina and trained in Argentina. Then she went to Berlin to learn the repertoire of vocals from Kurt Weill, Hanns Eisler as well as other works. Her first role as an actor was in The Summer Trilogy by Carlo Goldoni. She then secured the sought-after title of Lulu in Frank Wedekind's Pandora's Box at San Martin Theater in her hometownof Buenos Aires. She was honored with the "Ace" Award for the Best New Artist.
